Rubicon Ready

Pete's a photographer, and he probably doesn't know that I snapped these pictures of his car. It was being used as an everyday runabout on a Surrey estate, but Pete - a long-term Land Rover enthusiast and a keen off-road driver, once a stalwart member of the All-Wheel Drive Club - had always hankered after a flat-fender Jeep. He bought it and has since used it off-road regularly at Jeep club meetings. He's also done a lot of restorative work on it since then - it now has its tailgate back (it had been welded shut) with the spare mounted on the side where it should be, as well as taller tyres and a limited-slip differential on the rear.
